xp log: oshitari, shinji and kippei
Apr. 28th, 2006 07:46 amIt felt good to be somewhat more in control of himself than he was, Oshitari thought as he meandered down the hallway from his room. He still had his moments, times where he wasn't sure if everything around him was reality or not, or if he was still strapped and drugged in that damned lab room, but they were more spaced out now, less severe then they had been. And he wasn't attacking the entire household with his power anymore either. Well, hardly ever.
It was...strange...to say the least, being able to feel his own psionic energy in his mind, when he wasn't using his power. He needed to sit down and figure out exactly how it all worked now, and why, but with everything that had been going on, he simply hadn't thought about it much at all. Now that they had Saeki back, and recovering, and the rest of the house was relatively normal, he supposed he could work on it.
Or he could start his plans to obliterate the rest of the laboratories on his list...perhaps pay the Humanity Now group a visit for their treatment of Koujirou. The thoughts had him stopping outside of Shinji and Tachibana's door. He had seen neither hide nor hair of them since Shinji had gone tearing from his room over the spider incident; which he had no recollection of, but Akira assured him the other blue haired mutant had 'freaked out'. A bit impulsively, he tried the knob, found it locked for once (amusing) and rapped sharply on the door three times.

Date: 2006-04-28 12:55 pm (UTC)He sighed and got up, heading for the door. "You know who this is?" he asked Shinji over his shoulder, probably a dumb question. They weren't expecting anyone. Then again, Shinji should be able to hear them so he probably did know who it was. Whatever. Kippei unlocked the door and yanked it open with little grace, frowning at the mutant standing on the other side.
"Oh. It's you," he muttered, standing aside. Annoying bastard, but he was fond of Shinji in his own way, or so Shinji said, so he got points for that at least.

Date: 2006-04-28 01:08 pm (UTC)"Something happened to you", he stated flatly after a moment, studying Shinji and shooting a look at Tachibana. He tried shielding his thoughts on that matter; Tachibana should have been taking care of him, whatever had gone on. But then, Oshitari himself hadn't been there to keep watch over the other mutant, and some unfamiliar sense of guilt stole over him for that.
Damned humans.

Date: 2006-04-28 01:13 pm (UTC)...Alright, not doing so well holding on to that anger. He folded his arms and glared at Oshitari from his position by the door. "It wasn't humans," he snarled, almost sneering at the other man and his stupid conclusions, forgetting for the moment that they were entirely reasonable. "Be careful," he added in growl, though he did make some attempt to temper his voice for Shinji's sake. "He's got a bitch of a headache."

Date: 2006-04-28 01:17 pm (UTC)Hey. I missed you. Play nice with the Growly one.

Date: 2006-04-28 01:27 pm (UTC)Still petting Shinji's hair, or what he could that was sticking out from the bed, he quietly thought back to him. I have missed you as well, Shinji-kun. And...I will try...

Date: 2006-04-28 01:31 pm (UTC)"Bastard...rocks!" All over again. Shinji kicked him, rather ineffectually from under the blankets. "Hows..." he frowned, trying to remember. Damnit, he had known the other day when he saw the name! It was..."Saeki."

Date: 2006-04-28 01:33 pm (UTC)Is that really necessary? he grumbled anyway. What's wrong with him? he asked as an afterthought. Oshitari kind of looked like hell himself.
"Saeki?" he asked Oshitari, wondering why the hell Shinji thought Oshitari would know that anyway.

Date: 2006-04-28 01:44 pm (UTC)"He is...a little better", he said slowly, frowning more now at the thought of what his lover must have gone through before they found him. He still couldn't transform back, and the wounds were healing slower than the illusionist would have liked.
"I am sure he would enjoy a visit from you, when the both of you are well enough for it", he told Shinji, rubbing the blue strands between his fingers before giving it the most gentlest of tugs. He smiled a little again, teasingly. "Then you may pet him all you like again."
Which had him remembering the littlest, pettable thing. Reaching over, he passed a hand over Kii, smirking just a bit at the sleepy little meow and purr the still tiny kitten gave him.

Date: 2006-04-28 01:56 pm (UTC)He stalked over to the bed and grabbed the back of Oshitari's shirt, pulling him upright and away from Shinji. "Did I not just tell you that he has a headache?" he bit out, fighting the desire to shake him like a rag doll and drop him on the floor. "If you hurt him I will break your face," he growled, amending his usual threat of certain death on account of the fact that if he killed Oshitari, Shinji would probably kill him.
He turned away then, dismissing Oshitari like an annoying fly, and examining Shinji with a frown. Where do you think you're going? he asked grimly, leaning down to push Shinji back gently onto the pillows. You can visit Saeki later, when you can walk a straight line.

Date: 2006-04-28 02:04 pm (UTC)Even if he didn't remember how his power had gotten so strangly out of hand in the first place. That unexplainable knowledge unnerved him, but he cast it aside to sit back up and flash Shinji his own disapproving look for trying to get up in his condition.
Which neither of them had explained to him yet. Taking a slow deep breath that did nothing to calm the animosity he had for Tachibana in that moment, he tried for a even tone. "Why does he have a headache in the first place? What has he been doing?"

Date: 2006-04-29 05:00 am (UTC)He thought maybe one of the reasons he didn't like Oshitari was because the other mutant was so damn... well, everything he wasn't, smooth and cultured and whatever the hell, he wrote music and he spoke French and he could sing and Shinji thought he was cool. He made Kippei rough and crude and like a stupid sports jock, and maybe he was and maybe he liked it that way, but it still made him uncomfortable, as if Oshitari was laughing down his nose at him all the time. Probably was, knowing him.
Kippei knew well enough that Oshitari didn't think he was good enough for Shinji, and while Kippei didn't really give a damn what Oshitari thought, there was the small problem of the little corner of doubt in his mind that sometimes wondered the exact same thing. And it wasn't like he'd done that good a job of taking care of Shinji lately. Being around Oshitari tended to remind him of the little doubts he usually ignored, in favor of his usual attitude this is the way it is Shinji is mine just because he is and he likes it, end of story.

Date: 2006-04-29 05:07 am (UTC)Don't change! Don't ever change! I don't want Yuushi, he's just like..my brother. He's not you! Oh god, don't change.

Date: 2006-04-29 05:20 am (UTC)I can't change, he grumbled softly. I can't ever... be like that. Different. I'm not... He sighed again. You're gorgeous and brilliant and so... little, he tried to explain, feeling the small slender frame of Shinji's torso trapped in his arms, and Shinji's heart beating birdlike against him, so fucking perfect and beautiful and maybe not fragile at all, but somehow... fine, in the way that rare and expensive things were fine.
I'm big and rough and I break things, he finished, in a slightly grim tone. Maybe he's right. Maybe I'm not good for you. And oops. So did not mean to ever tell Shinji that.

Date: 2006-04-29 05:26 am (UTC)"Never. Say. That. Again." And then he remembered Yuushi was there and flushed, powers shutting down in embarassment.

Date: 2006-04-29 05:34 am (UTC)Something had obviously been going on with Shinji and Tachibana, judging from expressions and body language alone, but when he'd started attempts at deducing exactly what, he kept losing his train of thought. It was absolutely frustrating.
It seemed like they'd been having some silent argument. Then he caught Shinji's small blush and felt his attention span return.
All he could do was wait patiently, the thought never crossing his mind that this was likely a private matter he shouldn't be witnessing. And all he could think was to wonder just what fool blunder Tachibana had made to make Shinji that angry...

Date: 2006-04-29 05:50 am (UTC)"You're both idiots! You," he pointed at Yuushi, "are such a cocky bastard. You're good at everything and we know you're good at everything so stop rubbing people's noses in it, and you," Kippeis turn. "You should know better! And why the hell don't you like each other anyway, I like you both and Saeki and Kamio really like Yuushi, so I'm not the only one who thinks he's fine, and I really like Kippei, and Wings doesn't have a problem with him so its not like I'm nuts, and...I don't even know what the hell I'm on about!"

Date: 2006-04-29 05:58 am (UTC)"This might make far more sense if I had been included in your little tiff", he drawled a moment later, eyes shifting briefly to Tachibana.
So, the cat was out of the bag, so to speak? Well, he hadn't thought it would last so very long, personally. There was only so much they could do to mask their animosity towards one another. Something about Tachibana just rubbed him wrong; it was as simple and complicated as that.

Date: 2006-04-29 06:08 am (UTC)"Not a fight," he said tiredly. "I said..." He frowned in concentration, pulling it back from wherever Shinji had banished it to. "Maybe you were right," he told Oshitari. "About me." And he was still sorry, but Shinji was already mad at them both, so maybe it didn't matter anymore.

Date: 2006-04-29 06:19 am (UTC)"As much as I enjoy hearing that I could be right", he began, sitting up and draping an arm around his knee, "Since when do you care what I think of you, Tachibana? Actually, since I do not believe you've suddenly started holding my opinions in any regard, I can only guess you are associating your own fool insecurities with what I may have said previously."
Frowning, he reached a hand out to flick the other mutant in the shoulder. "Is it not Shinji-kun's opinion that counts to you more? Fool."

Date: 2006-04-29 06:32 am (UTC)He squeezed his eyes shut until the jarring ache faded, taking a deep breath. Aside from the fact that Oshitari was still an annoying prick and thought he knew it all, Shinji wanted them to get along and Kippei honestly did not care what Oshitari thought. He took another deep breath, pushing aside his annoyance, and then he sat back and wrapped his arms around one knee, shrugging.
"Shinji's opinion is the only one that matters. So now I know." He frowned at Oshitari. "And he likes you, which means he's a saint, because you are fucking hard to like." Not from lack of trying. Sort of. Maybe it was just that Oshitari liked Shinji to begin with. It was hard to even want to like somebody that thought you were a waste of space and time and breath.
