ed log: kippei and shinji

Kippei was rather relieved that Shinji had agreed to help him; he had no idea if Shinji could do anything either, but he figured there was a better chance of that than him being able to figure anything out himself, and it was getting to the point where something definitely had to be done. The damn ghost was costing him serious money. Plus, a few of the subcontractors were getting nervous enough that he thought they might threaten to quit, or at least refuse to work in the house until he solved the problem.

He was barely admitting even to himself that he was glad to have an excuse to hang out with Shinji, whatever the reason. Kippei hadn't seen him all that much lately, as busy as he'd been, and he rather missed him. Not that he'd have called it that. He went downstairs so he'd be able to meet him at the door when he came.

Shinji was delighted, just because he was going to get to see Kippei again, but also because he had an excuse to hang out with Kippei at work, for days! He quickly packed a bag and called a taxi, a little annoyed that Kippei hadn't missed him enough to come and pick him up, but then that might be considered girly and he definitely didn't want that. Besides, it wasn't like he couldn't afford the fare.

He barely restrained himself from skipping to the door, knocking and not waiting for an answer, sticking his head inside.

"Kippei?"

Kippei had heard the door open and was already on his way. "Hey," he said briefly, dragging Shinji all the way inside and leaning down for a scorching kiss. He definitely hadn't had enough of that lately.

"Sorry I didn't think about picking you up," he said after a minute, after the important things were out of the way. "You should get a car."

Shinji shrugged, dropping his bag and wrapping his arms around Kippei, kissing back and smiling because damn, that felt good.

"I don't want a car. I like when you drive me places."

Kippei rolled his eyes, amused. "I can't drive you everywhere," he pointed out. "Besides, you hate my car." It was true, his car was an ugly piece of junk, but it ran pretty well and it was good enough for him. He tugged Shinji toward the stairs, taking his bag and heading back up to the bedroom.

"So, you wanted a nap?" he asked with a sideways smirk.

"Is that what they're calling it now? I knew this generation were sexually immune, but really...a nap? Bring back the eighties." He yawned as if bored and ready for bed, but his gaze was fixed on Kippei's ass and he reached out to run a hand around to settle on Kippei's hip.

"I like your car when you're in it..." Which was so not the point.

Kippei chuckled, amused, and dropped Shinji's bag inside the door, turning to push him over to the bed and tackle him down.

"You were the one that called it a nap," he pointed out. "But I'm prepared to persuade you that it should be more." He stretched out on top of him, purring, and bent his head to nuzzle at his neck.

"I think I might need a lot of persuading," Shinji noted, laughing softly, hands reaching up to tangle in Kippei's hair, gently encouraging. He paused only for a moment, pushing Kippei away far enough to get a good look at him because it had been at least a week.

"Did you miss me?"

Kippei sighed. "Why do you always ask that?" he grumbled, not wanting to answer. If he had his way Shinji would never leave his side, except that would probably get too distracting when he had to get some work done, but anyway, he really hated it when he had to go too long without seeing him, so he supposed that qualified as missing him. Still, Shinji didn't have to make him admit it! Teasing bastard.

"What do you think?" he muttered, eyeing the place on Shinji's neck that was going to have a hickey as soon as Shinji let him get back to making it.

Shinji just smirked and pulled him back down for a long, deep kiss, tracing the inside of Kippei's mouth with his tongue, just acquainting himself with the taste again, sexy and musky and delicious.
