xp log: kippei, shinji, ohtori, shishido - double date

When Kippei had given Shinji Ohtori's number, he had figured they would end up seeing the kid sooner or later, since he certainly didn't like the idea of the two of them meeting up alone. Ohtori had mentioned ice cream, which sounded good enough to him, and Shinji would definitely go for that.

He hadn't really expected it to turn into this big thing that was practically a double date, with Shinji and Ohtori just being excited to go out for ice cream and him and Shishido kind of getting drug along for the ride by their respective boyfriends. Still, it did sound like fun even if it was going to be a bigger deal than he'd been planning on, so he didn't complain and merely promised himself to stick as close as possible to Shinji while they were out.

"Ready to go?" he asked Shinji when it was about time to go meet the others at the place Shinji had picked out.

Kippei held Shinji's hand tighter as he started calming down, reminding him that he was right there and not going anywhere.

Stay inside my head if you get freaked out, okay? He was just a little worried about this public excursion around so many people.

"I'm fine...don't worry about me. There's not so many." Little human heads so focussed on themselves he couldn't care less what they were thinking so it was easy to stay focussed on Kippei and the warm hand wrapped around his own. He kept looking ahead, waiting to see the ice cream parlour and Shishido and Ohtori, ridiculously excited. He hadn't seen anyone in ages, except Yuushi, but even that had been a short visit.

Kippei sighed and kept an eye on him anyway, watching for any signs of headache or stress. If it got to be too much for Shinji, Kippei was taking him home with no apologies.

He hoped that the others were waiting for them there, or this was going to be a short visit.
