ENAU: part eight

Kippei was not terribly concerned about either his own arm or Shinji's--sure, they'd take a day or two to heal instead of a few minutes, but they were well on the way to doing so and it wasn't like either of them had to do anything strenuous in the meantime. They would need to feed probably sooner after having lost so much blood, especially Shinji, but even that could wait at least one more day. For now Kippei felt entirely justified in taking Shinji straight back to bed, with the intent of keeping him there for the rest of the day. Only partly because he was feeling slow and sleepy now--he also could do with an excuse to lay there and hold Shinji, which he liked way more than he was going to admit although considering Shinji had figured out how to read his mind now, he probably didn't have to.

"You gonna stay here if I fall asleep?" he asked Shinji. He was about to order him to do it, and almost did anyway because on the list of things he did not like, waking up without Shinji there was very far up on the list, but the last thing he wanted Shinji thinking was that Kippei wanted a pet or something so, no orders. At least when he remembered.
